Kiss was named after Ellen Bass’s poem of the same name.
In the poem she describes a young woman coming across a lizard, half-drowned. She scoops it up and gives it the breath of life.
“What did it matter if she saved one lizard?
One lizard more or less in the world?”
When we feel helpless at the state of the world, this poem reminded me that the tiniest things matter; one smile to a stranger, one lift given to a kid, one conversation with a friend. It all matters
